Reservations & Payments

How do I make a reservation?

Contact us, book directly on our website, or book through a third-party platform such as Expedia, Booking.com, or Airbnb.

What is the minimum age requirement to make a reservation?

You must be at least 19 years old to make a reservation.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards.

Cancellation Policy

What is your cancellation policy?

Guests may cancel within 48 hours of booking for a full refund, provided the arrival date is more than 7 days away.

Cancellations made after 48 hours but more than 7 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable and will be charged 100% of the booking total.

No-shows will be charged 100% of the booking total.

Date changes are not guaranteed, are subject to availability, and may be treated as a cancellation.

Check-In & Check-Out

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in: 3:00 PM (or later as you can self-check in)

Check-out: 11:00 AM

Do you offer early check-in?

Early check-in requests are subject to availability and approval.

Approved early check-ins are charged at $50 per hour.

Do you offer late check-out?

Late check-out is not permitted. Guests who remain in the room past the scheduled check-out time will be charged an additional night’s stay plus a flat fee of $75.

How do I check-in?

Check-in is self-serve and contactless. You will receive instructions before arrival.

Amenities & Services

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at the Inn.

The Family Cottage does not have Wi-Fi.

Are linens and towels provided?

All suites and cottage come with fresh linens, towels, and basic toiletries.

These linens and towels are for indoor use only and cannot be used at the pool, hot tub, or beach.

Is parking available?

Yes. Each suite includes parking for 1 vehicle. The Family Cottage can accommodate up to 2 vehicles.

If you require more than 1 parking space for your suite, get in contact with us and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Are there quiet hours?

Yes. Quiet hours are every day from 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.

Pool & Waterfront

Are there any restrictions for pool use?

The pool is unsupervised – enjoy at your own risk.

Children under 17 must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

Pets are not allowed in the pool.

All bathers must ensure they do not have any illness, infection, or medical condition that could pose a risk to themselves or others.

Linens provided in suites and cottages are not permitted for use outdoors, at the pool or the waterfront. Guests must bring their own pool towels for outdoor use.

Pool hours are subject to change without notice.

The pool may be serviced at random and may not be open on the day of your visit.

Can I bring my own boat / watercraft?

We will do our best to accommodate your request, please contact us before booking.

Guests do have complimentary access to our canoes, perfect for exploring the beautiful Ahmic Lake during their stay.

What to Bring & Things To Do

What should I bring with me?

What you pack depends on your planned activities, as there’s plenty to do both on-site and in the surrounding area.

Some things to consider bringing:

Bathing suits, your own pool towels, and flip-flops for the pool area.

Sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray

Comfortable and appropriate footwear for hiking or exploring trails

Warm clothing for evenings or winter activities

Any personal items or specialty gear you may need

Any rainy-day items you may enjoy

What is there to do on the property?

Plenty! Enjoy our in-ground pool, floating dock, canoes, scenic walking trails, private back patios, and beautiful lakefront views. You’ll also spot lots of wildlife—especially deer in the winter, as our property sits on a natural deer wintering ground.

Wildlife & Property Animals

Is there wildlife on the property?

Yes. We are located on a deer wintering ground. Depending on the season, you may see deer, moose, wolves, black bears, foxes, beavers, muskrats, bald eagles, hawks, owls, turtles, and various bird species.

Please enjoy viewing all wildlife from a distance.

Do not feed or interact with wildlife.

Will I see the Quiet Bay Cat?

It is very likely that you may meet Arlo, our resident Quiet Bay Cat!

Please do not feed her or attempt to pick her up. She is friendly but very independent.

Arlo wears a small harness and two trackers as she patrols the property and charms guests.

She has a very early curfew, and for her safety, she must never be allowed inside your suite, cottage, or vehicle.

She is a working cat, and is the only animal permitted to roam the property unleashed and unsupervised.

Accessibility & Policies

Are there Accessibility accommodations?

Yes, some suites are suitable for guests with accessibility needs. Please feel free to contact us before booking to discuss your requirements.

Note: While certain suites may be accessible, the property as a whole may have limitations, and full accessibility cannot be guaranteed.

Do you allow smoking?

No smoking is permitted inside suites, cottage, or within 9 meters (30 feet) of any building. Please be respectful of other guests.

Do you allow celebrations / events or fireworks?

No. Public celebrations, parties, and fireworks are not allowed.

If you wish to host an event, you must book the entire property. Contact us for more details.

Pets

Are you pet friendly?

Yes — only in designated pet-friendly suites. Please ensure you book a pet-friendly unit.

All pets must be leashed and respectful of other guests.

Pets must not be left unattended in suites or vehicles.

Important: If you arrive with a pet and did not book a pet-friendly suite, you will be unable to check in and will not receive a refund.

Safety, Food & General Information

What should I do in an on-site emergency?

Call 911 immediately.

Is the water safe to drink?

Yes. Our tap water is safe to drink and tested every 3 months.

Where can I get food?

You’ll find restaurants and shops within a short 5–10 minute drive.

Our on-site restaurant is currently awaiting a new leaseholder, so stay tuned for updates.

Are you open year-round?

Yes. Quiet Bay is open all four seasons.

What are your hours of operation?

We respond to email and phone messages from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

If we miss your call, we will do our best to return your message by 5 PM the same day. Email is recommended for quicker replies.

Where are you located?

We are a lakefront property on Ahmic Lake in the Parry Sound District: 5333 Hwy 124, Magnetawan, ON, Parry Sound District, Canada.
