Safety, Food & General Information

What should I do in an on-site emergency?

Call 911 immediately.

Do you have a front desk?

For assistance during your stay, the best way to reach us is by email, as we operate primarily online. We offer convenient self check-in and self check-out, so there is no need to stop by a front desk.

Do you have security cameras on site?

Yes, we have security cameras for insurance and safety purposes only. Footage is not available to guests.

Is the water safe to drink?

Yes. Our tap water is safe to drink and tested monthly.

Where can I get food?
  • Restaurants and shops are within a short 3–10 minute drive.
  • Our on-site restaurant is currently awaiting a new leaseholder—stay tuned for updates.
Are you open year-round?

Yes. Quiet Bay is open all four seasons.

What are your hours of operation?
  • Email and phone messages answered 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • If we miss your call, we will do our best to return it by 5 PM the same day.
  • Email is recommended for quicker replies.

Reservations & Payments

How do I make a reservation?

You can book directly on our website.

What is the minimum age requirement to make a reservation?

You must be at least 19 years old to make a reservation.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards.

Cancellation Policy

What is your cancellation policy?
  • Guests may cancel free of charge until 7 days before arrival.
  • If a reservation is cancelled within 7 days of arrival, 100% of the total booking price will be charged.
  • No-shows will be charged 100% of the total booking price.
  • Date changes are not guaranteed, are subject to availability, and may be treated as a cancellation.

Check-In & Check-Out

What are your check-in and check-out times?
  • Check-in: 3:00 PM (or later, self-check in)
  • Check-out: 11:00 AM
Do you offer early check-in?
  • Subject to availability and approval.
  • Approved early check-ins: $50 per hour.
Do you offer late check-out?
  • Not permitted.
  • Guests remaining past check-out will be charged an additional night + $75 flat fee.
How do I check-in?

Check-in is self-serve and contactless. Instructions are sent before arrival.

Parking

Do you have complimentary parking available?
  • One space per guest, directly in front of assigned unit.
  • Oversized vehicles, trailers, or boats: park in the overflow area near the café up the hill.
  • Respect other guests’ parking and assigned spaces.

Boating onto the Property

Can I arrive at the property on my boat?

Arriving by boat is not permitted—the bay is shallow and environmentally protected. All guests must arrive via Hwy 124.

Can I bring my own boat / watercraft?
  • Park in the overflow lot up the hill and launch at a nearby public launch.
  • Our private bay is not suitable for launching.
  • Guests have complimentary access to canoes and kayaks to explore Ahmic Lake.

Amenities & Services

Are linens and towels provided?

All rooms include fresh linens, towels, and basic toiletries. These are for indoor use only. Towels taken outside will incur a $100 replacement fee per towel.

What amenities are provided in my room?

All rooms have a view of Ahmic Lake.

  • Standard Rooms: Coffee maker with complimentary coffee, sugar, and creamer, mugs and cups, hair dryer, microwave, mini fridge, and TV.
  • Kitchenette Rooms: All standard room amenities plus a larger fridge, stove top, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, cutlery, and dishes.
Do you have Wi-Fi?

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available.

Quiet Hours

Do you have quiet hours?

Yes. Daily from 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.

Pool & Waterfront

Are there any restrictions for pool use?
  • Pool is unsupervised – use at your own risk.
  • Persons under 17 must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
  • Pets not allowed.
  • Do not have illnesses or medical conditions that risk others.
  • Room linens not allowed outdoors—bring your own pool towels.
  • Pool hours may change; may be serviced randomly.

What should I bring with me?

What is there to do on the property?
  • In-ground pool, floating dock, canoes, walking trails, private patios, lakefront views
  • Wildlife viewing, especially deer in winter

Wildlife & Property Animals

Is there wildlife on the property?

Yes. Depending on season, you may see deer, moose, wolves, black bears, foxes, beavers, muskrats, bald eagles, hawks, owls, turtles, and various birds. View from a distance; do not feed or interact.

Accessibility & Policies

Are there accessibility accommodations?

Some suites are accessible. Contact us before booking. Full accessibility cannot be guaranteed throughout the property.

Do you allow celebrations / events or fireworks?

No public celebrations, parties, or fireworks allowed. Private events require booking the entire property. Contact us for a quote.

Smoking

Where can I smoke?
  • Smoking, vaping, and cannabis use are not permitted inside any suites or cottages.
  • This applies to tobacco, marijuana, and all vaping devices.
  • Smoking is only permitted outdoors and must be at least 9 metres (30 ft) away from all buildings, doors, and windows.
  • Please dispose of cigarette butts properly and be respectful of other guests.
  • If a unit has been smoked or vaped in, a $250 cleaning charge will be applied to your stay.

Pets

Are you pet friendly?
  • Only in designated pet-friendly rooms—please book accordingly.
  • All pets must be leashed and respectful of other guests.
  • Pets cannot be left unattended in rooms or vehicles.
  • Arriving with a pet in a non-pet-friendly room prevents check-in and is non-refundable.
  • If a room requires excessive cleaning or there is any damage due to a pet, a $250 charge will be applied to the stay.

Group Events

Can I book the entire property for my group?
  • Contact us with dates, number of guests, and pets.
  • Standard check-in/out times apply; 2-night minimum may be required.
